It is very cute place! Lake is awesome, so clean and warm, and the views are just amazing. Camp sites are pretty good, but some of them have not so good grills and tables. A lot of places around the place if you wanna go outside. One star down because of dirty old toilets, sometimes there is no toilet paper at all. Showers are also not in a perfect condition, some faucets are broken. Grab your tube, boat, kayak to have more fun! In general - great experience! I recommend this place.

I've been comming here every year for a few years now and every time it seems like the cleaning gets worse. I do enjoy this campgrounds and the beach is decent but the camp site we had was full of tree roots and they almost ruined our tent floor. Wish I could have seen that I would have picked a different one. One night we stayed people were so loud I thought they were dying! This went on for hours and hours! I'm so glad they left after 1 night. All in all I recommend this campgrounds they have decent showers and bathrooms and besides your occasional douche bag it's pretty quiet 😝 we stayed on the opposite side of the road this time because the main camp grounds were full. There was a baby deer that walked right through our site 🙂

Rodgers rock is a gem on lake George and the state needs to step up and fix it because the decline is getting dangerous! Big rigs beware the only spot for you is the road down by the boat launch otherwise forget it!We watched multiple people get stuck because the roads are so narrow and tight and there has been no cutting of trees, pavement washes away "That's OK we will fill it with really big gravel so it's uneven and dangerous". People leave bathroom light on OK "we'll fix it with a timer light", which is dangerous at night and doesn't stay on for more than a minute, you should be able to shower with light. The location of this campground cannot be beat. It is a beautiful, pristine lake. We deserve facilities that are clean and maintained. NYS parks please spend some money at this campground and fix it the way, Rogers rock deserves.

Great campsites which are next to water as well.. There are showers/ restrooms which are super clean. There is water faucet everywhere for clean drinking water . Highly recommend booking campsites closer to water. Staff is friendly Wood and Ice - There is a guy who brings wood and ice near to campsite which is convenient. He usually sells wood for a higher price though..

Brought my partner and our pup for their first camping trip. Luckily on memorial day everyone left, and we were the only campers left on the opposite side of the road. It was pure bliss to be out there alone! Firewood is sold on site!! We didn't know and had bought extremely pricey wood before arriving at the local corner store, don't make this mistake. Local firewood vendors will come around consistently throughout the day. We never ran out, and we always had our fire lit! It was WAY cheaper this way as well. Soft or hard wood options, and they also carry ice! The lake side / beach is beautiful. Clear waters and clean.

1.Understaffed!!! No privacy at all as far as people walking through your campsite to get to the water at you campsite, they tie their floats and swim at your site. You simply cannot enjoy the water at your campsite. The water is beautiful but the buoys in front of your campsite is first come first serve. So we have to deal with someone that has their boat tied right in front of your campsite. I already hit the boat with a sinker and snagged trying to fish. I’m not a professional fisherman but I’m good at it. Bathrooms are horrible, dirty and don’t work. The photo is from inside the stall. The reservation site was deceiving, it said waterfront on it. I had no idea site 54 was hike in only either, the site didn’t say either. It’s about a 45 degree slanted hill and very slippery rocks.

Beautiful Campground in Upstate, NY on Lake George. Many sites are not camper friendly, and there are some decent road-width potholes in some areas, but the bathrooms are fairly well kept and relatively bug-free. Due to being in the Adirondacks there are some decent elevation changes on a number of sites, but that's hard to avoid, just something worth noting. There is a beautiful trail from the campsite to Roger's Rock itself. There is a Stewarts, Walgreens and Walmart close by if you need to replenish supplies, and a beautiful park in town with a waterfall and playground. The camp's beachfront has a wonderful view of the lake and plenty of boat 'parking' offshore.

I'm very upset with the fact that I have to be writing this review, as I've been going to Rogers Rock Campground with my family since I was a baby (and I'm now 24). But - this year was an absolute disgrace and NYS nor the campground did anything about it. My family and I will never be going back there due to our terrible experience this year. Incident #1: The campground used to have a grounds keeper or a trooper who would drive around to make sure that campers were safe and following the quiet hours at night time, to be respectful of all of the campers in tents. This year, they had neither. This was a huge issue because the campers next to us were partying (extremely loud) until 5:30 a.m. in the morning... I wish I was exaggerating. We could not fall asleep and telling them to please be quiet ourselves only made it worse as they were disrespectful people who told us to screw off. Back in the day, they would've been kicked out of the campground after 2 warnings if they were loud during quiet hours. This happened 2 nights in a row (Friday and Saturday night) which completely ruined our trip since we were forced to sleep during the day due to how exhausted we were. I very nicely expressed how upset we were after Friday night, and the campground said they would come around to tell them to be quiet going forward. I'm not sure if they did, but Saturday night was the same - and when I went up to the front around 12:30 a.m. to let them know they were still making noise, no one was there. There was a sign to call a non emergency line to reach the campground off-hours but no one even answered it. So, we had to deal with partying until 5:30 a.m. for a second night in a row. When we were checking out, I asked if we could please get a refund for those two nights/days since we were completely out of commission due to the campground failing to enforce their rules. We were met with dazed and confused looks, saying they would file a claim with the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation to see if we can get our refund processed. 2 weeks later, we received a letter stating "we are unable to offer refunds for events, decisions or circumstances that are beyond the Department's control" and signed by Jessica L. McBride, Campground Program Supervisor. So, they are telling me they have no control over enforcing their OWN campground rules...? Because they sure did every other past years we've been there! So, since receiving this letter - I am writing this as a warning to other families to not use this campground as they are understaffed and do not enforce their guidelines / care about their paying campers. If people at the campground decide to party till 5 a.m., you are just going to have to deal with it. It's a free-for-all now. Incident #2: Saturday night around 2 a.m. while we were up due to the noisy campers next to us, we heard a very loud crash and bang (it was very scary) and noticed that a tree very close to one of the sites (with campers on it) had fallen down in the woods. The tree was so tall, that if it had fallen the opposite way, it would have hit those campers at that site (so extremely dangerous). Thank God it fell the opposite way. But after that, we were super freaked out and concerned. That's another thing the campground should and used to be doing - they would check all of the trees within the radius of the camp sites to make sure to take down any dead trees or trees that had potential of falling. But apparently, not anymore! While we were there, two trees fell (that one and another one right over the bridged entrance after the main bathrooms). So, just another example of it being a free-for-all campground with no safety protocols or services they promise being enforced. Just wanted to share my family's experience in the hopes that it may deter other families from dealing with what we had to deal with while we were there. There are so many campgrounds on LG, I would suggest to definitely find one that is safe and stress-free for your family! Cause Rogers Rock is the exact opposite of that, sadly.
